2002 Ashwaubenon High School alum Josh Rosenberg serves as head of production at Breakwater Studios and helped make the Academy Award winning documentary The Queen of Basketball, a tribute to the only woman who has ever been officially drafted by the NBA.

The Ashwaubenon Alumni Association is pleased to announce the awarding of its 2022 Community Service Scholarship to two recipients this year: Ashwaubenon High School seniors Asra Azad and Hannah Thiry.
Both Azad and Thiry demonstrated strong records of volunteer service in the community, shared how that service made an important impact on themselves and society, and expressed how they planned to continue their volunteerism in the future. Azad and Thiry were each awarded $1,000 Alumni Association scholarships. ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP The Ashwaubenon Alumni Association Community Service Scholarship is available to an Ashwaubenon High School Senior enrolled at Ashwaubenon High School not less than two semesters prior to graduation, is eligible to receive a diploma, has achieved an academic record that represents the student's maximum effort, and is pursuing some form of post-secondary education. Desirable personal character, demonstrated leadership and pride in community, strong work ethic, and proven commitment of service to school and/or community is an important criterion. Preference will be given to service completed within the Village of Ashwaubenon and to those involved in a variety of services benefitting the community. As part of the Village of Ashwaubenon's Sesquicentennial Celebration, a Village-wide Talent Show will be held at the Ashwaubenon Performing Arts Center on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at 6:00 PM. Registration forms can be found at the Ashwaubenon Community Center or online at https://ashwaubenonpac.org/event/village-of-ashwaubenon-sesquicentennial-talent-show/ The Ashwaubenon Alumni Association is pleased to announce its 2021 Community Service Scholarship recipient, Marissa VanEyck. VanEyck is a 2021 graduate of Ashwaubenon High School with a strong record of volunteer service in the community. She began her tradition of service at the N.E.W. Zoo, volunteering there annually starting at a young age. VanEyck then began volunteering annually for the Ashwaubenon School District's Summer School program, subsequently coming to learn about - and provide support to - the Valley View math and literacy program. During her four years of high school she provided over 300 hours of volunteered service to organizations within the community. VanEyck expressed her understanding of the importance of volunteerism, and plans to continue such service when she attends the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, working towards a degree in psychology. Jim retired in 1998 after working 31 years with the District as a Physical Education Instructor at Valley View Elementary and the High School.
