The Ashwaubenon Alumni Association is pleased to announce its 2021 Community Service Scholarship recipient, Marissa VanEyck. VanEyck is a 2021 graduate of Ashwaubenon High School with a strong record of volunteer service in the community. She began her tradition of service at the N.E.W. Zoo, volunteering there annually starting at a young age. VanEyck then began volunteering annually for the Ashwaubenon School District's Summer School program, subsequently coming to learn about - and provide support to - the Valley View math and literacy program. During her four years of high school she provided over 300 hours of volunteered service to organizations within the community. VanEyck expressed her understanding of the importance of volunteerism, and plans to continue such service when she attends the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, working towards a degree in psychology.
